As always I thoroughly enjoyed the 5th edition of the WIPF held recently in Dubai. The conference attracted 300+ delegates from across the globe encompassing such diversified topics related to patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets and including specialized panel discussions on alternative dispute resolution and mediation. All of the topics were equally globally diversified involving issues emanating from Middle East, India, ASEAN, Europe and the US. I think WIPF has proven to be a perfect forum for much needed IP discussions and I recommend all IP professionals to attend the forthcoming WIPF conferences.

I participated for the first time in Wotld IP Forum 2018. I was an invited speaker. I must tell you I had the most wonderful experience in it. What I like about this is several things which were wholly different to all the other world and local conferences. Here they are for easy reference
The forum organizing timeline was flexible and the topics as well.
The timing given for presentation is great.
All the co panelists and speakers were very well chosen for their subjects and the topics were very timely and appropriately designated.
All participants I noted were extremely well interested in the sessions and networking both which made it very serious when it had to be and fun at the other times.
The venue too was very good, good ambience and great location.
Finally I must reiterate that I m a regular speaker for many international forums on aspects of Entertainment Law but the best experience I had in every area was at the World

I thoroughly enjoyed the WIPF meeting in Dubai.
The sessions were of excellent quality: in particular I learnt more about the effects of Artificial Intelligence on all aspects of Intellectual Property Rights and all of the advantages and pitfalls of using “free†/ open-source software than I had had in previous IP conferences I have attended.
As far as networking was concerned, I made several high level contacts in major companies that I’m hoping are going to lead to future business in the next six months.

The WIPF 2018 was the best IP legal assemblage that I have attended till date. The level of discussions were at a high level and the networks built were far more than just exchange of pleasantries. WIPF 2019 was an absolute delight. The best part of the Forum was the intense discussions that you get to experience by some great global IP leaders. Also, the forum was a good mix of World participants and therefore interacting with them was fun. This year I presented a talk alongside speakers from USA & Canada which was a brilliant experience. The 11th edition of WIPF Bangalore 2023 was a wonderful blend of formal and informal meetings and discussions, often serving as a reunion for old colleagues. The panel discussions were both informative and engaging, with wholehearted participation from the audience.
At a time when our Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted in his 'Mann Ki Baat' that India ranks seventh in patent filings and fifth globally in trademarks, and that the country has risen to 40th position in the Global Innovation Index—reflecting India’s growing scientific prowess—forums like WIPF, which encourage scientific discussions, inventions, and IP awareness, are truly the need of the hour.
